On Feb. 19, “A Celebration of Haute Cuisine” brought more than 90 guests together to enjoy menu items including Pan Roasted Nantucket Jumbo Sea Scallops, Imperial Ranch Wagyu New York Strip, and Poached Anjou Pear, all prepared by students of the Culinary Institute at Colorado Mountain College.

For the past 10 years, Vail Resort’s Epic Promise has partnered with CMC to offer this evening of culinary delight at the Keystone Ranch Restaurant. The monies raised from the popular event add to an endowed scholarship fund available to students enrolled in the renowned CMC Culinary Institute in Breckenridge or Dillon.

Each year, Epic Promise contributes $5,000 to the dinner. Combined with tickets sold for $165 per person, the fundraiser ensures the success of students enrolled in the Culinary Institute at CMC for years to come.

Partway through the dinner, three students were pulled out of the kitchen and announced as the lucky recipients of the 2015 Culinary Arts Institute Scholarship, Demitrius Landry (not pictured), Andrew Schulz (left), and Marybeth Miller (right). The award will cover $1,250 of each student’s tuition for the year.
