Colorado Mountain College in Breckenridge Outdoor classroom
Students in Summit County went to class in a bright new building in the fall of 2009. This exceptional learning facility hosts CMC's programs, such as the apprentice-based Culinary Arts Program, and the Emergency Medical Technician Program. Our EMT program trains virtually every emergency medical services professional in the region, and is an example of CMC’s commitment to keep pace with the everchanging needs of its citizens.
CMC in Breckenridge also offers the second largest English as a Second Language Program in the State of Colorado. The Wilderness Emergency Medical Services Program is one of few such programs in the country. The new Wilderness First Responders certificate program takes full advantage of our high country environment to train students in backcountry rescue and survival, as well as swift-water rescue. Most recently, through a collaborative partnership with St. Anthony’s-Summit Hospital and other local healthcare providers, CMC introduced an Associates Degree in Nursing Program at CMC in Breckenridge, that prepares students to become RNs.
NEW planned CMC in Breckenridge Outdoor Classroom Estimated costs range from $150,000 to $200,000 for this addition to CMC in Breckenridge. This is in addition to the funds still needed to finish out the main campus building.
Creating a Legacy
Benches, auditorium seats and pavers are a way of giving and remembering. These items may be engraved with your name, your business name, or in tribute to a loved one. Benches will be set in special places on the CMC campus. Named seats in the auditorium will be limited to 76 standard and 160 premium seats. All inscribed brick pavers will make up the base of the Outdoor Courtyard. Bench donors will be contacted for their specific inscription.
